Agnipath: Congress phases sit-in, promises legal help to protestors
Congress customers staged a sit-in, in protest against Agnipath, the Centre’s freshly declared recruitment coverage, at the Town Corridor ground in Varanasi on Monday.
Party’s Kashi device president Raghvendra Chaube who led the sit in from 10 am to 1pm, said the bash will deliver authorized aid to all those youths who were arrested for protesting in opposition to the government’s recruitment coverage.
He reported a Congress delegation that had absent to district jail to fulfill those people arrested in link with the agitation, was denied authorization for the similar by the jail administration.
He claimed jail administration denied permission citing Covid-19 protocol.
“The youths, getting ready to be part of the army, perform incredibly tricky. They get up at 4 am and operates for many kilometers day by day. These youths have desire to be a part of the military to serve the country and the Congress will fight for their rights,” he said. A major law enforcement power was deployed at the protest website.
