Richard Lewis Motley was charged with possession of methamphetamines at his bond listening to — no other prices.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Just one of the travellers in a car involved in a deadly law enforcement chase Friday appeared in court for his bond hearing Saturday. But his charges and his legal professional demonstrated that he was not the source of the violence and chaos.
The metropolis of Jacksonville had all eyes on the conflict Friday, wherever a significant police presence grew outside the house of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. Police said they had been making an attempt to apprehend an armed suspect.
Families ended up not allowed to exit, some seeing helicopters overtop the zoo. Some ongoing on with their day even though other people sheltered in gift shops, ready for police to say they could go.
During the pursuit, a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office K-9 was shot a few periods and airlifted from the scene to 1st Coast Veterinary Solutions in Jacksonville Seaside. And when the suspects have been finally apprehended, two of the three travellers in the auto law enforcement were pursuing have been observed dead.

The third passenger was Robert Motley.
Motley was not the driver and he was not wielding the gun, nor did he shoot ‘Huk’, the hurt K-9, his general public defender reported during his bond hearing.

Though Motley’s criminal offense is a third-diploma felony, the prosecution questioned for a heavier bond.
“I fully grasp that this is a 3rd-diploma felony,” the lawyer for the state stated. “Even so, this is a 3rd-diploma felony that involves two deceased people today, a wounded pet dog, which is JSO K9 doggy, and officer involved taking pictures, and also the drug was examined good for methamphetamine.”
The decide took the state’s recommendation of placing bond at $75,003. Motley will also not be authorized to have or use a firearm.
Motley explained to the judge that he has two boy or girl dependents and an adult dependent and that he owns a lawn treatment company in Jacksonville.
Motley explained he has lived in Jacksonville all his daily life. When questioned if he owns a dwelling there, he explained “not no extra.”
Motley’s arraignment is scheduled for August 15 at 9 a.m.
