Warnock declines to oppose Ga boycotts around new election regulation

Sen. Raphael Warnock on Sunday declined to oppose boycotts of Ga-dependent firms and sporting functions in reaction to the state’s new election legislation, expressing, “we will see how that plays out.” 

Organizations headquartered in Atlanta, like Coca-Cola and Delta Air Traces, have obtained “intense criticism” for not publicly opposing the Georgia legislation. Warnock, D-Ga., was requested regardless of whether boycotts “need to be on the table” for these firms.

“I imagine we all have to use our voices … I’ve seen these companies slipping above on their own each calendar year all around the time of the [Martin Luther] King holiday, celebrating Dr. King and yes, I think that the way to rejoice Dr. King is to stand up for what he represented, voting legal rights,” Warnock explained in an interview on CNN’s “Condition of the Union.” “We will see how all of that performs out, but I’m targeted on what we can do in the United States Senate.”

@Delta @HomeDepot @UPS as long as they are complicity silent.”
